Body found in Umtentweni

THE decomposed body of a man was found , hanging from a piece of cord in the shower at a home in Raspberry Lane, Umtentweni last Friday.

Police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said neighbours smelled ‘something funny’ and called the owner of the property, who in turn investigated.

Lt-Col Wiid said Sergeant Fritz Edwards and Sergeant Lionel Best from Port Shepstone SAPS responded to the call. They were shown an outbuilding which they subsequently entered.

Lt-Col Wiid said the body could be that of a gardener who worked for different homeowners in the area, and was last seen on Monday this week.
