A PEDESTRIAN (27) died after being struck by a taxi on the N2 at Izingolweni last Friday.
Margate police spokesman Captain Gerald Mfeka said Sandile Cele was struck by a taxi travelling from Harding towards Port Shepstone as he crossed the N2.
“According to the taxi driver, Cele, who is thought to have been from Izingolweni, ran in front of the vehicle and was hit. He died at the scene.”
A culpable homicide docket has been opened at Izingolweni police station.
