Walkers stride out for Bibles

The sponsored walk proved a great family outing.

THE beautiful winter morning was perfect for a stroll when walkers gathered to raise money for Bibles recently.

Their sponsored walk was an annual event organised by the NG Church in Port Shepstone for the Bible Society of South Africa. It was well supported and thoroughly enjoyed. As it takes just R36 to buy someone a Bible, the substantial amount of money raised by the walkers will be well used.

The Bible Society prints and distributes Bibles in many different languages, so people all over South Africa benefit from the society’s charitable work and the help it receives from its supporters.

After the walkers had completed the pleasant route there were plenty of delicious goodies on sale at the finish. A sociable post-walk breakfast and refreshments were enjoyed by all.
