THE owner of a trading store in Southport was on Tuesday this week charged with not producing a valid liquor licence.
According to police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid, Southport SAPS confiscated a large quantity of liquor at the store.
“Captain Mariana Vos from Port Shepstone SAPS received a complaint that the store was dealing in liquor without a licence. She notified the designated liquor officer, Warrant Officer Dries van Aarde from Port Shepstone SAPS who then confiscated the liquor,” said Lt-Col Wiid.
Nick Frey (56) was charged and paid a fine of R500.
