TAXI driver, Njabulo Nyawose (25), who allegedly knocked down and killed cyclist Burry Stander in Shelly Beach last year, appeared in the Port Shepstone court again today.
Nyawose, who is currently out on warning, faces charges of culpable homicide and reckless driving.
According to a report on the East Coast Radio website, forensic expert Craig Parker told the court that he was appointed by the National Prosecuting Authority to assist with investigations and first visited the crime scene on January 31 last year.
Earlier, the defence questioned state witness Garreth Elliot, who downloaded CCTV footage from units installed at a bottle store in the vicinity of the crash, asking if the footage could have been tampered with.
Elliot said that once the video is cut onto a disk it cannot be interfered with because it has a time and date stamp embedded onto it.
Stander’s mother, Mandie, was seen sporting a black ‘Ride4Burry’ T-shirt.
