A MARBURG service station on the Harding main road was robbed during the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).
According to police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid, a 24-year-old staff member was at the station when three men walked into the building and asked to buy diesel.
Lt-Col Wiid said the man was accosted and robbed of his cash. The thieves also took cash from the till, plus a cellphone and a crate of cold drinks.
Port Shepstone SAPS is investigating a business robbery. No arrests have been made.
Meanwhile, police are also investigating another business robbery after four men robbed a shop in Mbotsha location in Betania on Monday this week.
“The owner had just closed for business at about 6.30pm when there was a knock at the door,” said Lt-Col Wiid.
Some men forced open the door and stabbed him in the chest three times before fleeing with airtime, cash and cigarettes. No arrests have been made. The shop owner is recovering in hospital.
