SECURITY guards have arrested a man who robbed a 61-year-old woman at her house in Oslo Beach on Monday this week.
According to police reports the woman arrived at her home in Commercial Road, when she was approached by three men. “The men appeared to be waiting for her to return,” said police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.
“They grabbed her and took her handbag, which contained a firearm, a cellphone, keys and other items. The woman screamed, a neighbour arrived and the men fled,” said Lt-Col Wiid.
Shortly afterwards, one of the three men was arrested by a security guard. The man is in police custody and investigations are continuing.
