A RAMSGATE resident was furious when, after a short absence on Thursday morning last week, he returned home to find the back yard of his home in Alford Road under water.
When he investigated he discovered that brazen thieves had entered his property and had cut and stolen the copper water piping.
According to Ramsgate Community Policing Forum, this was one of four cases police have investigated in Ramsgate recently. There have been other incidents of housebreaking and theft. As well as the copper piping, cellphones, a laptop, cash and a television have been stolen.
The forum asks Ramsgate residents to report any suspicious activities or individuals loitering in the area by contacting the 24-hour police assistance number at 073 486 8683.
