Woman’s burnt body found at dump site

DNA tests will be carried out to confirm the victim's identity.

A MURDER hunt is under way after the charred remains of a woman’s body was found at the Harding refuse dump last Friday.

“The body, which was burnt beyond recognition, is believed to be that of Harding resident Nicolene Hamann (34) who has been missing since the night of July 20,” said police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.

She added that DNA tests will be carried out to confirm the identity of the deceased.

No arrests have been made and investigations continue.
