MARGATE Visible Policing arrested two men for being in possession of drugs last Wednesday.
“Constable Dennis Hlela, Cst Nkosinathi Maloyi and Cst Sithembiso Shusha arrested a 24-year-old man in possession of 43 straws of whoonga in the Margate taxi rank on Wednesday,” said police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka.
“During a roadblock in Southbroom last Thursday, Sergeant Petrus Swanepoel arrested a 38-year-old man from Flagstaff after he was found with 1.43 kilograms of dagga. The street value of the drugs is estimated to be more than R1 500.”
The men appeared in the Ramsgate Magistrates’ Court last Friday and the cases were postponed for further investigation.
