POLICE are searching for a man who raped a mother in front of her five-month-old child in a banana plantation at Impenjati near Trafalgar last Sunday.
“The woman was on her way to buy airtime when the man, whom she did not know, forced her into the plantation,” said police spokesman Captain Gerald Mfeka.
“He demanded that she remove her clothing and when she refused, he threatened to hit her with a rock. When she still refused to undress, he threatened to kill her child with a knife.”
The woman was raped twice in front of her child. Margate police are investigating and no arrests have been made.
