AN activated Tracker signal, picked up by Port Shepstone SAPS officers, led to the recovery of a vehicle in Umzumbe on Tuesday this week.
The vehicle, with ND registration plates, was reported stolen during a house robbery in KwaMakutha on Monday night.
Police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said Warrant Officer Gerhard Prinsloo, together with W/O Hendrik Ludick, and constables Senzo Nzama and Khethukhitula Nkomo, followed the signal towards Umzumbe.
Lt-Col Wiid explained that four armed men entered a house and held up the residents.
“They then ransacked the home and left with clothing, jewellery, and the car,” she said.
Following up on information, W/O Sydney Seaton and Cst Timothy King from Port Shepstone TRT, arrested two men in Umzumbe.
The men were then taken to a house in KwaMakutha where police recovered some of the stolen property.
The two men were handed over to KwaMakutha police who will continue with the investigation.
