The 30-year-old man was found with a plastic bag over his head.

A GROUP of boys out hunting with their dogs stumbled across a body near the Nongongo river in Qinabout, Gamalakhe last Saturday.

Police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid, said Gamalakhe policeman, Lieutenant Welcome Shusha, was shown the body of a man (30) with a plastic bag over his head lying on the ground.

“There were no visible injuries to his body. A murder docket was opened,” said Lt-Col Wiid.

On Monday this week, a woman who had reported her boyfriend missing to police in Gamalakhe, identified him as Motsamae Michael Mohapi.

“Mr Mohapi is originally from Matatiele. A post-mortem revealed that he was strangled,” said Lt-Col Wiid. It is also believed that his cellphone was taken. Investigations are continuing.
