Video: Tweni pub owner chases patrons with Samurai sword and gun

WARNING: Video contains scenes of violence and extreme bad language. Not for sensitive viewers.

AN allegedly drunk pub owner tried to chase patrons from his premises, first with a Samurai sword and then a gun after they apparently claimed he had overcharged them and served flat beer.

The shirtless proprietor of 3rd Avenue Pub in Umtentweni can be seen in the video pointing a firearm at the patrons and then firing a shot at them.

Off camera, somebody sneaked up behind, tackled him and managed to disarm arm him.

He was apparently ‘subdued’ rather aggressively by the patrons before police arrived and took charge.

The story will be reported in full in this week’s Herald.
