Video: Horrific footage of nanny brutalising toddler

WARNING: Extremely graphic and disturbing content. NOT suitable for sensitive viewers. It is exactly this behaviour that the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children campaign aims to address.

IT is sadly ironic that just before the start of 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children,  two horrific cases of child abuse have come to light.

Right on our doorstep, a mother and grandmother have been arrested in Havenside for abusing a little girl so badly that she died. It appears that in addition to brutal beatings, the child (2) was also raped.

Further afield in Uganda, a suspicious father set up a video surveillance camera to check what his  two-year-old daughter’s  caregiver was getting up to.  The footage proved to be nothing short of barbaric.

It is time we all stood together to protect our children – the most vulnerable members of our society and also the tiny shoulders upon which the future rests.
