SOUTHCITY Pre-primary hosted a fantastic Christmas ‘parents’ activities day’ last Monday. The children sang some worship songs, followed by Christmas carols and afterwards moms and dads sat creating beautiful Christmas cards with their children.
Feedback from parents, especially from some of the dads, is that they thoroughly enjoyed all activities. Southcity’s very own City Café supplied a most delicious spread, enjoyed by both young and old alike.
Pupils then had to tackle the Gymbo-Kidz display with ‘uncle’ Keagan van der Merwe and were all outstanding. Southcity’s pre-primary phase opened in 2012 with 24 pupils and has experienced three wonderful years of ‘learning through play’ with them.
The school has been blessed with outstanding teachers who have a ‘heart for the children’ and the school’s upmarket facilities and environment have facilitated an excellent place for children to play and learn.
Everyone is very excited about the imminent opening of Southcity’s fourth classroom scheduled for January 2015. Southcity would like to welcome Nadine Herselman to the team.
