THE three men who murdered Geoffrey John Stuart (71) in his home in Munster in February this year will be sentenced on Monday, December 8.
Andile Ma-ah Mzobe (20), Mluleki Morris Khowa (22) and Lungani Somahe Mbhansini (20) from Port Edward face charges of housebreaking with intent to rob, robbery with aggravating circumstances and murder.
Mzobe faces an extra charge of housebreaking with intent to steal, and theft. The men appeared in the Ramsgate High Court last Friday, and were convicted of all the charges.
The men gained access into Stuart’s home, and found him in bed. They tied his hands and feet with cables they found on the premises. He died as a result of smothering and strangulation.
The men stole bedding, clothing, electronic equipment and cellphones.
