The teenager was threatened with a knife in her bedroom.

A TEENAGER is lucky not to have been injured after she was threatened in her bedroom in National Road, Ramsgate last Sunday.

According to police spokesman Captain Gerald Mfeka, the family was on holiday from Lephalale, Limpopo.

“At about 12.30am the father heard his daughter screaming in her bedroom. He went to investigate and discovered that her bedroom door was locked.

“He went outside to the bedroom window and saw her crying. He fired five warning shots and the intruders fled,” said Capt Mfeka.

According to the teenager, she awoke when being threatened with a knife by one of the intruders. The attackers fled with her cellphone, shoes and jewellery.
