AT the recent Southcoast Mall poster competition ‘Draw your happy place’, S’thabile Xolo of gr 4 won first prize and received a magnificent voucher. As a result of this, Margate Primary won the grand prize of R5 000. Jade Crow, Likhona Mgetyana, Liyema Jara and Siya Xam were also awarded vouchers and the winning class was thrilled by the games and surprise party organised for them by the Southcoast Mall.
The gr 3 play entitled ‘Our Christmas story’, written by Sonja Moore, played to packed audiences and everyone agreed it was a magnificent production. The children thoroughly enjoyed all the preparation beforehand and came out tops on the ‘open days’ with excellent performances delivered by Sikele Mbambo (Father Christmas), Lethabo Mofokeng (Mother Christmas) and main angel, Nandi Khoza.
