THE body of an unidentified cyclist was found on the side of the R102 near the northern bank of the Umkomaas River on Monday morning.
Umkomaas SAPS have registered a case of culpable homicide for investigation.
It is unclear how long the body had been there before it was discovered.
Police have made a plea for anyone who may be able to identify the unknown cyclist to contact Detective Services at 039 9736100.
