MARGATE police are searching for a man who allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl in Lamont Location near Ramsgate last Saturday.
According to police reports the girl was walking along a road when she was approached by a man known to her.
“The man told her to buy a cold drink from a shop but the girl couldn’t find the store. When she returned the man forced her into the bushes and raped her,” said police spokesman Captain Gerald Mfeka.
According to the victim, after she was raped the man threatened her, saying if she told anyone about the rape, he would kill her. She reported the incident to her parents who contacted the police.
“No arrests have yet been made,” said Captain Mfeka. Margate police are investigating.
