A TEENAGE boy was shot in the leg in Nkampini, Gcilima last Saturday.
According to the boy’s mother, Florence Nhlumayo (46), she had left her house at about 6pm to visit her mother, who lives nearby.
A few minutes later she received a call from a neighbour to say that her son had been shot.
Police spokesman Captain Gerald Mfeka said that Ntobeko Nhlumayo (14) was playing with friends at Matsheketsheni, near the soccer field.
“Ntobeko was taken to the Gcilima clinic and later transferred to Murchison Hospital for further treatment,” said Captain Mfeka.
No arrests have yet been made and a case of attempted murder is being investigated by Margate SAPS.
