SEVERAL people were arrested recently for selling liquor without a licence in sting operations in the Port Shepstone policing area.
Warrant Officer Patrick Gosling, together with Constable Mzwandile Ngwazi, Cst Nkosiyethu Phika, Sergeant Mxolisi Mpofana and Cst Akesh Maharaj, arrested eight women and two men in Louisiana, Mkholombe and Betania respectively for being in possession of large quantities of liquor.
“They were charged with dealing in liquor without a licence. All paid admission of guilt fines,” said police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.
She added that the liquor will be destroyed.
