LAST Friday marked the beginning of an exciting venture for Southcity Preparatory. Pupils had the opportunity to choose from seven different cultural clubs which include chess, choir, eco-club, drama and arts and crafts, handwork for boys, needlework for girls, as well as photography and news.
Eager pupils signed up for a cultural club of their choice and are waiting in anticipation for tomorrow (30th) when the clubs officially kick off. New clubs will be introduced each term, providing exposure to a diverse number of skills, crafts and interests.
Southcity hosted their new pupils’ concert last Friday and lots of fun was had by all. All new gr 8 to 11 pupils took part and are now part of the Southcity family.
The first team cricket took part in the ‘Pro 10 Cricket Quadrangular’ against Suid-Natal High, Sheppie High and Creston. It was a great day and a fun way to start the season.
