THERE was not a single tear shed, thanks to Port Shepstone Junior Primary’s successful orientation days held in October last year to prepare parents and children for formal schooling. Work began on time in every classroom on the first day of school with pupils slipping into a routine with the greatest of ease.
The first evacuation drill of the year went exceptionally well with 620 pupils walking sensibly down to the big field, accompanied by teachers who were armed with red flags and class registers. This was accomplished in record time, considering the majority of pupils had never done this exercise before.
Congratulations to Esethu Khumalo, Nhlakanipho Nzimande, Tannah Peyper, Dingalethu Ngumbela, Tapiwa Mazubane, Muhammad Ismail, Vidant Bugwandeen, Ntandokababa Ngcungama, Lisanda Ntshulana, Lomso Mpengesi, Swelihle Mahola and Luyanda Mdudu who have been selected as school monitors.
