THREE men, Samukelo Khuzwayo, Sphamandla Dayi and Nhlakanipho Mbhele, were arrested in Port Edward for business robbery last Tuesday.
The men entered a shop, bought a cool drink and left. According to police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka, a short while later the men returned to buy cigarettes.
“One of the men produced a knife and threatened to kill the shop attendant while the others stole two boxes of cigarettes, an undisclosed amount of cash and two cellphones before fleeing,” he said.
The men appeared in the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court last Friday. The case has been postponed to February 26. The men will remain in custody.
