Update: Valentine’s Day stabbing in Palmview

The father was stabbed in the upper body and the two sons in the arms.

AN argument between a woman and her husband on Valentine’s Day has left the woman’s father dead and her two brothers injured.
Police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said the 49-year-old man and his two sons (aged 21 and 25 years) went to the house in Woodpecker Drive, Palmview,  after a relative reported that the woman and her husband were having a heated argument.
“Upon their arrival, the man and the two sons spoke to the other two occupants of the house, believed to be brothers.
“When father and sons left, the  two men aged 30 and 35, ran after them, pulled them from their vehicle and stabbed them,” she said.

The father was stabbed in the upper body and the two sons  in the arms.

All three were taken to hospital but the father died on arrival. His two sons were later discharged.

The two men fled the scene and were arrested later that night in Merlewood by Warrant Officer Ettienne Grantham and W/O Johan Zandberg from Port Shepstone SAPS and Sergeant Willow le Roux from the K9 unit.

The men are due to appear in court tomorrow (Tuesday) where they will  face charges of murder and attempted murder.
