A SPECIAL police operation at Turton near Hibberdene last Thursday proved fruitful.
TWO men and a woman who were found in possession of 16 Mandrax tablets and a large sum of cash were arrested following a tip-off.
“Police searched a house and found the tablets. The cash was found hidden in a kettle,” said police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.
“Mnqobi Cele (19), Nosipho Precious Mkhanyawo (19) and Mlekeleli Mnguni (23) were charged with dealing in drugs and appeared in court last Friday. The case was postponed for further investigation,” said Lt-Col Wiid.
One of the men was granted R500 bail and the other two suspects were released on free bail.
