‘Unite and demand justice for the school’
The ones who suffer the most are the pupils, with a stream of new teachers on an ongoing basis.

DEAR Editor,-
Working with children is such a blessing and numerous interactions with pupils still makes me smile. As a former teacher, I always believe in ‘children first’ and in the education sector pupils should be number one priority.
The ongoing teacher injustices, threats and victimisation towards pupils is shocking. Continuous teacher absenteeism results in incomplete schoolwork and makes it difficult for pupils to comprehend. Marks, schedules and reports are also tampered with.
Everyone normally rejoices as the festive season approaches, but governing body staff at Jai Hind become depressed, anxious and are uncertain of their future because contracts are terminated and readvertised.
Why should there be this instability? The governing body at Jai Hind is biased and the ones who suffer the most are the pupils, with a stream of new teachers on an ongoing basis.
Past governing body members who were weak and didn’t want to approach issues head-on have allowed mischief to continue at Jai Hind and bitter, angry state-paid staff members manipulated the situation. Inexperienced governing body and staff members work in cahoots, protecting each other whilst making negative changes at the school.
All stakeholders need to take responsibility for their actions and be held accountable for ruining this school. A neutral task team should be appointed to conclude fair investigations, bearing in mind the outcome affects thousands of pupils. All past pupils, staff and governing body members must unite so that teaching and learning can flourish at Jai Hind Primary, to make this a top school for our future leaders once again.
