A TEENAGER suspected of murdering two men in Gamalakhe last weekend was tracked down by police in Sgendleni this week.
The 19-year-old is alleged to have stabbed Thembelani Msomi in a tavern on Friday night. The Murchison man died of his wounds in hospital on Sunday.
Police spokesman Captain Gerald Mfeka said it is believed the same teenager had a knife fight with Sibusiso Gasa (23), also in Gamalakhe, on Sunday. Gasa staggered to a nearby house for help, but died before medics arrived.
Sphamandla Siyanda Hlophe appeared in the Ramsgate Court on Tuesday. He will remain in custody until a formal bail application is made on March 10.
