Hijacked bread truck recovered

A shot was fired during the hijacking.

THE  truck that was hijacked on Tuesday this week  has since been recovered in a sugarcane field in the Southport area.

Armed robbers escaped with bread and the ‘dough’ when they held up  the delivery truck.

A shot was fired, but no one was injured.

Police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid, said that a farmer notified police about the abandoned vehicle and Warrant Officer Sydney Seaton, Sergeant Rudi Smit and Constable Sibusiso Cele  recovered the truck.
