MARGATE detectives have tracked down a suspect in a gruesome murder which occurred on the N2 near Izingolweni.
According to police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka, the 45-year-old man’s body was found with multiple stab wounds in the neck and back on the national road at Wilson’s Cutting last Sunday.
A special task team was set up by Margate Police Station cluster commander Brigadier Morris Moodley and Crime Intelligence, and their investigations led them to a 44-year-old man in Durban yesterday (Wednesday).
He will appear in court soon in connection with the murder.
Meanwhile, in news just in, Crime Intelligence Gathering WO Christo Mostert from Port Shepstone arrested a second suspect in the Hibberdene area earlier today (Thursday).
The arrest was made with the assistance of a community member from Hibberdene who wishes to remain anonymous.
