Gunman holds up teen in Sunwich Port home

A TEEN (15) was held at gunpoint in his home in Twist street, Sunwich Port, during the early hours of today.

Police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said  the boy was awoken by someone in his room.

“He had a hangun pointed at him. A second man then entered the room and began packing up the teen’s belongings. After the men left, the teen reported the robbery to his parents, who called the police,” she said.

Warrant Officer Francois Pretorius from Port Shepstone K9 Search and Rescue, who was close by, responded. He called for backup and a search was conducted for the culprits.

A while later some of the stolen items were recovered on the railway line nearby.

Investigations are continuing.
