Couple, dog stabbed during robbery
Two men armed with knives entered the Trafalgar home last night.
A BRAVE dog was stabbed while protecting her owners during a robbery at their Trafalgar home last night.
According to reports, two men, armed with knives, entered the house and attempted to rob the occupants. The couple fought back, and in the process, both were stabbed.
Their beloved mixed breed dog Honey jumped in to protect her owners and was also stabbed.
KwaZulu Private Ambulance spokesman, Belinda Catchpole said paramedics found the man and his wife with multiple stab wounds.
“Once the patients were treated the paramedics assisted by taking Honey to a vet in Port Edward who stabilised her,” said Ms Catchpole.
It is believed that the dog is recovering at the vet.
The robbers fled with various items. Margate police have confirmed the incident and are searching for the two men. An official police statement is awaited.
