Child (4) claims rape by teenage neighbour
The 18-year-old rape accused reportedly apologised to the child's mother and promised to pay for damages.
A TEENAGE boy was arrested for raping a four-year-old girl at Dlovinga, Izingolweni last Monday.
Police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka said a woman left her daughter with neighbours while she went to sell vegetables.
“When the mother returned, the child complained of pain,” said Capt Mfeka.
The mother confronted the neighbour’s teenage son and he apparently confessed to the rape. The teenager reportedly apologised to the mother and promised to ‘pay her for damages’.
The mother reported the incident to Izingolweni police and the teenager was arrested.
He appeared in the Izingolweni Court on Monday this week and the case was postponed to August 3. He remains in custody.
