Willie is the new Margate Table chairman
Margate Round Tablers attended a glamorous ceremony to induct the new chairman for 2016.
IT was an evening of glitz and glamour at the Margate Round Table induction dinner held at Hillbillion Hotel last Saturday.
Outgoing Round Table chairman, Jaco Venter, had the honour of handing over the reins to Willie Bergh.
There were many awards including one to Marc Lilje, who received the walking stick for his honorary membership to the 41ers for a year.
Tabler of the Year was Shane Woolley who was also the newly inducted vice chairman for 2016.
The ‘Kids to the Sea’ project by Quinton van Schalkwyk and Shane Woolley received project of the year and Tam Jones was named Leg of the Year.
Guest speaker, Paul Bekker, was inspirational and entertaining.
All-in-all, the evening was a great success as Tablers wined and dined in fine style.
