Good Samaritans keep their neighbourhood clean

IT’s always great to see good people taking pride in their suburb.

In the sweltering heat on Monday this week, Christien Burger and her father Gatiep Sterckx, were spotted cleaning and mowing the grass around the whale deck, a project by the Umtentweni Conservancy.

The father and daughter team said they don’t mind looking after this popular lookout spot. “It was our turn to cut the grass and clean up the area around the deck and we enjoy it. We come here every weekend to sit and relax,” said Christien.
