Get ready for AFRICA BIKE weekend! (All event details here)

Three days. Hundreds of bikes. Exciting entertainment. Margate is the place to be.

FOR the eighth consecutive year, Harley-Davidson Africa presents the largest motorcycle event in South Africa… Africa Bike Week in Margate from April 28 to May 1.

Be part of the traditional Mass Ride held on Sunday, May 1. Join hundreds of Harley Davidson and other motorcycles enthusiasts who will ride together from Shelly Centre to Port Shepstone and back to Margate.

Please note that there will be road closures and traffic flow changes in Margate.

Summary

  • One way traffic flow (North to South) Panorama Parade:  April 25 – May 2
  • From Thursday (April 28) 8am until Sunday (May 1) 5pm, Panorama Parade (the event venue) will be accessible to motorcycles only. Event permit holders access available between 11pm and 8am.
  • Motorcycles: free access for the entire event subject to space availability

You can look forward to the following highlights:

  • The popular aftermarket area and local street vendors will offer goods for sale to suit everyone’s taste. And of course, anyone can enter their customized bike into the Ridein Bike Show.
  • Harley-Davidson Durban dealership tent, official event merchandise with a special offer to members of the Harley Owners Group® (H.O.G. ®), displays of the latest Harley-Davidson motorcycle models and the new ‘Kings of Custom’ display of amazing customized Harley-Davidson bikes.
  • All visitors with a full bike license and over 21 years of age can test ride the latest Harley-Davidson models for free. Riders must have their own riding gear.
  • Africa Bike Week is open to all Harley-Davidson riders and enthusiasts, riders of all motorcycle brands, as well as all other visitors.
  • For this year’s event, Harley-Davidson has introduced an online event registration, which was open from March 5 to April 20, giving access to the event site for free.
  • An entrance fee of R300 will be charged to enter the main stage entertainment area for visitors who have not registered online. While access to the event site is free of charge for all motorcycles and pedestrians, visitor numbers on the event site will be strictly controlled and is subject to space available.
