To boost team morale, connect with the community, and take a well-deserved breather from the fast-paced retail and healthcare environment, Fairways Pharmacy in Marburg hosted an open day on October 3.

The event kicked off with a fitness workout by Powerflex Fitness to get runners ready for the 5km fun run/walk. Soon afterwards, many runners and walkers took on the challenge around Marburg.

Bangani Mthandeni from Umtentweni was the first male runner home, closely followed by Christopher Ntusi.

Ashlin Raynard was the winner in the youth category, and the first woman to cross the finish line was Nelisa Yenge.

All first-place winners received medals and prizes, and all runners received medals.

Once the fun run was over, the Fairway Pharmacy parking area turned into a family playground and market day, where family, friends and shoppers enjoyed a great day.
