National Cupcake Day in Shelly Beach raises funds for cancer
Monies raised assist children battling cancer and their families.
A successful National Cupcake Day fundraiser was held at Shelly Centre in Shelly Beach recently.
South Coast coordinator, Ranjinee Jayram Ramdeen, said the aim was to raise funds to help children fighting cancer.
Well-wishers bought delicious cupcakes which were on sale.

According to Ramdeen, funds raised are not only for young cancer fighters, but also to assist their families with travel, food, hospital care packs, and more.
Schools and businesses are also urged to join the cause.
The total amount raised at South African malls on National Cupcake Day this year was R2,106,021.
