SAPS supports 16 days of activism

Police educated the children on crimes relating to rape, stranger danger and child abuse.

THE Port Shepstone SAPS Domestic Violence Unit visited the Louisiana Crèche as part of their 16 Days of Activism initiative, where they educated the children on crimes, especially rape, stranger danger and child abuse.

Officers of SAPS also provided a meal which was prepared by the staff at the crèche and spoiled the children by providing them with crayons, colouring books, party packs and other treats. Captain Sipho Nyandeni, SAPS social worker and Constable Ziningi Khena of Social Crime Prevention also addressed the children on child abuse.

The children as well as the staff at the Louisiana Crèche are extremely grateful to all the police for donating groceries and taking time out of their busy schedules to be with the children.

The community of Murchison was also addressed at the Murchison clinic by officers from the Domestic Violence Unit.
