Ugu unveils multi-million rand water project

Employment opportunities will be created.

ABOUT 50 people from various communities in Mabheleni near St Faith’s will be employed by Ugu for the construction of a new water reservoir in the area.

According to Ugu, R9.7-million  has been budgeted for the project.

This was revealed during a sod turning ceremony in Mabheleni last Thursday.

Work on the  2.5 Ml reinforced concrete reservoir is expected to start at the end of February.

The good news is that communities such as Cathula, Ezitendeni and Ngcazolo will  have access to water once construction is complete.
