Sheppie High pupils place well in entrepreneurship competition

PSHS gr 12 pupils Candice Langlois and Kathleen Goodhead took part in the six-week Allan Gray Entrepreneurship Challenge last year and placed in the top 200 and 500 respectively.

The competition is designed to make learning about entrepreneurship fun and is aimed at high school pupils from grades 8 to 11. The challenges are designed to engage entrants to act and think like entrepreneurs and those who finish among the top performers are rewarded.

Pupils logged onto the AGEC website on a weekly basis to complete a series of micro-challenges that take 15 to 60 minutes to complete, depending on the complexity. PSHS was one of about 80 schools that took part.

The first cricket team took part in a pro-ten cricket tournament hosted by Southcity last Saturday. PSHS won by 28 runs against HSN, by 45 runs against Creston College and 24 runs in the last match against Southcity.
