Ray Nkonyeni municipal manager Max Mbili earns another certificate

Mr Mbili encourages his staff and local young people to also further their studies for better opportunities in life.

Despite having to run Ray Nkonyeni Municipality, municipal manager Max Mbili still finds time for his academic studies.

Mr Mbili has recently earned a certificate in Public and Development Sectors Results-Based Management,  from Wits University in Johannesburg.

Mr Mbili told the Herald that, to achieve this, he had been measured on the following;

* Developing results-based monitoring and evaluation systems;

* Organising framework for a functional monitoring and evaluation system;

* Using data to improve decision making.

According to Mr Mbili, this qualification will allow him to improve his ability to use various approaches for the development of results-based management systems locally.

“It will also allow me to design all aspects of results-based management, monitoring and management systems.”

Mr Mbili is also finalising his PhD application in Public Administration. He already has the following qualifications: A master’s degree in Public Administration, an honours degree in Education Management, an advanced certificate in Public and Development Management, post-graduate diploma in Leadership and Management, higher diploma in Education and a teacher’s diploma.

Mr Mbili encourages his staff and local young people to also further their studies for better opportunities in life.
