Heather Tomlinson from Puppet World was invited to present her puppet show which teaches lessons about feelings, emotions and showing respect to elders. It was an interactive show and pupils could actively take part in some of the scenes throughout the show.

In a very entertaining way, Heather addressed the issue of healthy eating and bringing healthy lunches to school. Pupils were taught to pack lunches that include fresh fruit, yoghurt and water, rather than crisps and sweets.

Congratulations to the U13 boys’ volleyball team for being undefeated in the recent Sayidi Circuit Volleyball trials. The next match takes place at Gamalakhe and the school wishes them well. Undoubtedly they will make Merlewood Primary proud.
