Judges Terry Audan (former HOD Languages – Marburg Secondary), Marti van Rooyen (HOD Merlewood Primary) and Mireille Picard (English teacher who has taught in France, Italy and Reunion), who boast 122 years experience collectively, were impressed with the young orators.

They had the unenviable task of deciding first, second and third places, but ultimately pupils Randy Leigh Ogle (gr 8), Chevelle Moodley (gr 9), Ethan Hammond (gr 10), Nerisha Sunker (gr 11) and Sonali Badrinath (gr 12) took the honours.

The English department thanks all teachers who worked tirelessly to make this function such a memorable occasion. The school thanks teachers Printhabashnee Raju and Thiloshnee Naidoo for the sterling job they did coordinating the function.
