The event had schools across the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality taking part.
Last Saturday’s schools’ volleyball KO tournament, hosted by the schools’ volleyball committee of the Port Sheptone Volleyball Association, was played under bright sunny skies. The event at the Marburg volleyball complex saw schools across the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality taking part.

The primary school composite KO trophy and championship was shared between Marburg Primary and Jai Hind, who were locked on 12 points, while Port Shepstone Secondary was just too classy for its closest rival, Marsec, clocking 20 points and securing the secondary championship for the umpteenth time.
Primary schools’ KO final division results:
U12 boys – 1 Marburg Primary, 2 Jai Hind; U12 girls – 1 Marburg Primary, 2 Jai Hind; U14 boys – 1 Merlewood Primary, 2 Griffen Dore; U14 girls – 1 Jai Hind, 2 RA Engar.
High schools’ KO final division results:
U16 boys – 1 Port Shepstone Secondary ‘A’, 2 Marsec; U16 girls – 1 Marsec, 2 Merlewood; O16 boys – 1 PS Secondary ‘A’, 2 PS Sec ‘B’; O16 girls – 1 PS Secondary, 2 Marsec.
While the official schools’ volleyball tournaments are complete for the current season, schools nevertheless can look forward to tournaments hosted by the Department of Sports and Recreation as well as the social club tournaments hosted by the Port Shepstone Volleyball Association.
