Just In: Man drowns in Mtwalume tidal pool

He was taken to the clinic by friends.

A man, believed to be around 29 years of age, drowned at the Mtwalume tidal pool earlier today (Monday).

Police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said it is believed that the man got into difficulty in the pool. “Some friends took him out of the pool and took him to the clinic where he later died,” she said.
An inquest docket has been opened.
