Two dead in crash on Ixopo road near Park Rynie off-ramp
The accident involved a bakkie and a truck.
A collision between a bakkie an articulated truck resulted in the death of Kwanele Shozi (29) and Nhlanhla Shange (30) on the R612 Ixopo main road at the Park Rynie N2 freeway off-ramp on Saturday, June 23.
They are believed to have been driving from Umzinto towards Park Rynie and the truck was turning towards Umzinto from the N2 freeway south-bound carriageway off-ramp when the accident occurred.

Both victims had sustained serious head injuries.
“Despite efforts by paramedics, both the occupants of the bakkie succumbed to their injuries and died at the scene,” said Scottburgh Saps communications officer, Captain Vincent Pandarum.
