“I have not sought re-employment with Ugu South Coast Tourism. After spending nearly 70 percent of my time away from my Midlands home I felt it was time to carry on my consultancy business and start ticking off the many things on my bucket list.”

Mr Mackrory thanked members who had been supportive for their invaluable input to their annual plans for tourism and leisure.

“It has been a stimulating and at times challenging five years and, after all is said and done, a big thank you to members,” said Mr Mackrory.

Mr Mackrory also urged members to spread the word that the South Coast water supply was back to normal.

“As you know there is a global anti-plastic sentiment which, for environmental reasons, is patently valid. We urge members to be wary of using single use plastic such as drinking straws and collectively our sector can be part of reducing this concerning environmental risk.”
